Abstract
The fibrils in AL and AA amyloidosis, although similar in appearance, have different biochemical composition and staining characteristics. Whereas electrocardiographic and echocardiographic features of heart involvement in AA amyloidosis resemble those for AL amyloidosis, our findings support the concept that the constituent amyloid fibrils may play a decisive role in the clinical pattern and significance of heart infiltration.Entities:
