Abstract
HIV/AIDS is recognized as a growing problem in rural America. The community response model presented in this article provides a framework for developing a comprehensive approach to HIV/AIDS education and services. The model, while providing guidance in program development, allows for the adaptation of the model to address the unique needs associated with rural communities. Two programs that have been successful in responding to the need for HIV-related knowledge and services in rural areas are also presented.Entities:
