Abstract
Postoperative radiation therapy was given for medullary carcinoma of the thyroid in 5 patients. Moderately high doses of radiation achieved local control. Four patients died of metastatic disease. The favorable response of this tumor to doxorubicin suggests that both postoperative irradiation and chemotherapy should be used in its treatment.Entities:
