Abstract
We report here a case of thromboembolism occurring in a 29-year-old woman with transient eosinophilia. Eosinophilia for at least 11 days was followed by pulmonary embolism. Both reperfusion of pulmonary arteries and disappearance of deep vein thrombi were obtained by treatment with urokinase, tissue plasminogen activator, and heparin. Although the causes of eosinophilia were not specified, we suggested a causative correlation of elevated serum levels of eosinophil granule proteins with the development of thromboembolism.Entities:
