Advances in radiation therapy for brain tumors.

Despite important advances in surgery and chemotherapy, much of the recent progress that has been achieved in the treatment of brain tumors has resulted from developments in radiation therapy. This article reviews some of the recent advances in radiotherapeutic strategies being used in the treatment of brain tumors in adults. The overall management of each specific tumor type is discussed.
