Abstract
With their knowledge of local community, families and schools, general practitioners are the ideal providers of primary health care to young people; however, doctors sometimes find it difficult to communicate with adolescents. Adolescents are often anxious and reluctant to visit a doctor. This article outlines possible approaches to the adolescent in the medical consultation that may help start the therapeutic relationship in a positive manner.Entities:
