Abstract
Two-dimensional crystals of proteins formed on lipid layers effectively nucleate the epitaxial growth of three-dimensional protein crystals. Crystals suitable for X-ray crystallography can be grown in this way more rapidly, and using substantially lower concentrations of protein and precipitants, than when using conventional methods.Entities:
