Abstract
In a retrospective survey of 202 patients with acute cholecystitis 40 patients (19,8%) were found to have common duct stones. No close correlation between common duct stones and either serum bilirubin or serum alkaline phosphatase could be demonstrated. Therefore it was concluded that peroperative cholangiography is necessary in operations for acute cholecystitis.Entities:
