Abstract
Despite years of prolonged hypersecretion of gonadotropins, patients with Turner's syndrome rarely develop nonfunctional pituitary tumors. We present here the case of an 18-year-old woman who had both Turner's syndrome and a pituitary tumor. The patient was diagnosed at age 16 with Turner's syndrome, after presenting with primary amenorrhea. She was subsequently found to have inappropriately low levels of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. Workup confirmed the unique combination of Turner's syndrome, a pituitary tumor, low gonadotropins and high androgen levels.Entities:
