Abstract
Two cases of mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the lids are reported in view of the clinical history and histopathology. These tumors were originally described as originating from the excretory ducts of major and minor salivary glands. Such glands not being present in the lids, it is assumed that they developed in the ducts of the glands of Moll. While in case 1 epidermoid cells predominate, mucoid cells are encountered in greater number in case 2. One patient was treated by radical surgery and is free of symptoms for 2 1/2 years; the other had a recurrence 2 years after radiotherapy.Entities:
