Abstract
Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is characterised by generalised aches, pains, tender points, stiffness and fatigue, yet, despite increasing recognition of this syndrome as a clinical entity, its aetiology remains obscure. There is now increasing evidence that FMS represents a distinct rheumatic disorder and should not be regarded as a somatic illness secondary to psychiatric disorder.Entities:
