Abstract
A pilot study was carried out with 24 women with the main aim of examining retrospectively the experience of miscarriage to indicate issues worthy of further investigation. It was found that the psychological sequelae following miscarriage appear to be similar to the bereavement process. Whilst social support from partners, relatives and friends was helpful, subjects did not perceive that support from professionals and the wider community was always adequate.Entities:
