Abstract
Congenital renal ectopia, although a rare entity, creates potential difficulties in the management of patients requiring aortic surgery. An increasing number of vascular patients with renal transplants who have renal ectopia are being encountered as well. Therefore a management plan is desirable. A recent case of aortoiliac occlusive disease associated with congenital pelvic kidney requiring aortobifemoral bypass grafting is described. A brief review of the anatomy, embryology, and management is given.Entities:
