Peer education and the deaf community.

J M Joseph1.

Abstract

Gallaudet University, the world's only liberal arts university for deaf students, has recently established a peer health education program. This program is unique because of the population it is designed to serve and the rich culture within which the program exists. Although the program is still in its early stages, it has received an enthusiastic response from students and from the greater campus community.
