Abstract
The search for and recognition of biological and genetic markers of alcoholism are discussed in the context of a heuristic model of human alcoholism as a complex, multilocus, heterogeneous disorder. Implications of this model for the interpretation of results from both linkage and association studies are presented.Entities:
