Elemental sulfur: accumulation in different species of fungi.

Abstract

Sulfur, in elemental form, is present in several fungi especially in self-inhibited and resting structures such as dormant spores and sclerotia. The possible importance of sulfur in fungal spore dormancy is discussed.
