Abstract
Mediastinal metastases arising from a primary gastrointestinal neoplasm usually follow extensive subdiaphragmatic spread. However, we have reported the rare recurrence of rectal carcinoma in the mediastinum. In addition to emphasizing the systemic metastatic spread of rectal carcinoma, this case demonstrates the need to consider metastases arising from abdominal tumors as a cause of mediastinal masses.Entities:
