Abstract
RNA polymerase II interacts with transcription factors to initiate the synthesis of mRNA. These interactions are cyclic, involving multiple RNA polymerase subunits and general transcription factors. Phosphorylation of the RNA polymerase II carboxyl-terminal domain may regulate these interactions.Mesh:
