Abstract
We report the case of a 36-year-old man who developed a compartment syndrome after a minor ankle fracture was casted. The treatment was inadequately monitored and he subsequently developed the manifestations of a crush syndrome. This case demonstrates that relatively minor injuries can indeed be fatal if appropriate vigilance is not maintained.Entities:
