Abstract
A 69-year-old man developed severe neck and back pain with paraparesis which resolved within 2 h of onset. A CT myelogram demonstrated an extensive anterior extradural haematoma. This and several other cases from the literature suggest that patients with spontaneous spinal haematomas who rapidly recover from their neurological deficit do not require urgent surgical decompression.Entities:
