Survey of echinococcosis in eastern Ethiopia.

Abstract

A total of 171 adult cattle and nine stray dogs were examined for Echinococcus granulosus in eastern Ethiopia. Prevalences of 20.5% and 22% were recorded in cattle and dogs, respectively. Some of the factors involved in the transmission dynamics are discussed.
