Lesbians and HIV: clinical, research, and policy issues.

P E Stevens1.

Abstract

Sources of risk for HIV infection in members of the lesbian community are surveyed, together with factors that adversely affect access to appropriate health care by women in general and lesbians in particular. Issues of clinical practice, research, and public policy are examined with a view to promoting more effective prevention and treatment strategies.
