Abstract
We describe a 13-year-old girl with recurrent Henoch-Schonlein purpura whose symptoms were precipitated by upper respiratory tract infections. Her serum was positive for both IgG and IgA classes of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies by immunofluorescence. The titers of both autoantibodies correlated with disease activity. The immunopathology underlying these findings is discussed.Entities:
