Abstract
An arteriovenous fistula between the renal artery and vein is a rare complication of nephrectomy. We report the first case of direct inferior vena cava to renal artery fistula after nephrectomy. In addition, this was the first use of the Amplatz "spider," a vascular obstructing device used to trap coils during transcatheter embolization of a high-flow fistula. The patient's fistula was embolized successfully, with immediate improvement of symptoms and without pulmonary embolization.Entities:
