Abstract
We have used immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization histochemistry to visualize CGRP and the mRNA encoding the CGRP precursor in the stomach. CGRP is present in nerve fibers in the mucosa. CGRP mRNA and CGRP itself are also found in non-neural cells in the lamina propria. These cells are likely to be macrophages or B-lymphocytes.Entities:
