Abstract
We report two unusual causes of giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPC). One patient developed GPC secondary to and elevated filtering bleb. Another patient developed focal GPC secondary to elevated calcific plaques (band keratopathy). The first patient's symptoms improved after treatment with sodium cromolyn drops. GPC resolved in the second patient after superficial keratectomy was performed. These cases represent two unusual causes of GPC and emphasize the role of mechanical trauma as a causative factor.Entities:
