Abstract
A self-report questionnaire was administered to 1726 subjects to examine the effects of life-satisfaction, sex, and age on self-esteem. Subjects were grouped into 3 age groups, 17-22, 23-29, and 30-40 years. Analysis yielded significantly higher self-esteem for men than women, amongst older subjects, and for those with high life-satisfaction. These findings were interpreted in terms of various theories.Entities:
