Abstract
Disseminated leiomyomatosis peritonealis (DLP) is a rare condition that to date has been reported only in premenopausal women. The author reports a case of DPL occurring in a postmenopausal woman who had undergone total hysterectomy 30 years before and had received no hormonal therapy subsequently. The lesions were multiple and consisted of smooth-muscle cells that proliferated from medium-sized blood vessels. The author concludes that the patient's lesions likely represent a histologic variant of DLP.Entities:
