Clergy consultation as a community mental health program.

C M Kaseman, R G Anderson.

Abstract

The authors describe the planning, development, implementation, and results of a consultation program to the clergy as part of an agency's community mental health service. The paper focuses on the four main program goals of (1) revitalizing a local association for the clergy, (2) developing the clergy's pastoral skills, (3) increasing community supports for mental health, and (4) developing a counseling service sponsored by the local clergy for community residents.
