Abstract
Ocular complications from diabetes represent a significant public health problem. Diabetic retinopathy alone represents a leading cause of new blindness each year in the United States. Neovascular glaucoma from diabetes, although not nearly as common, inflicts devastating consequences on vision. Together with the more frequent occurrence of other ocular disorders that cause visual impairment, the visual toll of diabetes is staggering. Much of this blindness is preventable with early detection and timely treatment.Entities:
