[Development of aneurysma spurium of the arteria profunda femoris as a late complication of DHS osteosynthesis].

Abstract

A rare case of a false aneurysm of the profunda femoris artery as a late iatrogenic complication of dynamic hip screw osteosynthesis is described. A review of complications of the dynamic hip screw and other means of internal fixation is given, with special reference to arterial injury during trauma surgery.
