Abstract
Rotaviruses were identified by electron microscopy in 19 of 26 (73%) Venezuelan children with gastroenteritis. Noncultivable adenoviruses and small (29-30 nm), spherical viruses were also observed in a few cases. Bacterial pathogens were isolated from five children (19%), all of whom were also carrying rotaviruses.Entities:
