[Effect of irradiation on the character of mental disorders observed in patients subjected to surgery on account of laryngeal neoplasms].

The paper deals with a description of mental disorders seen in patients who had been operated for larynx cancer and who were subsequently subjected to radiotherapy. It is shown that there is a certain dependence of the structure of psychopathological changes on the doses and duration or radiation (prior to and following the operation). The author stresses the fact that radiotherapy is one of the significant factors creating a pathologically changed basis and provoking the appearance of mental disorders.
