Abstract
An effect of annexin IV and VI on the fluidity of phosphatidylserine/phosphatidylcholine (PS/PC) membranes was studied by spin labeling technique with the use of 5-doxylstearic acid. It was found that calcium ions at micromolar concentrations induced a marked decrease in the order parameter of PS/PC membranes. This effect was completely abolished by both annexins. The influence of annexins on the mobility of fatty acid chains in the studied region in PE/PC membranes was insignificant.Entities:
