Abstract
Miniaturization of separation techniques is providing new methods to examine neurochemistry and neurophysiology at the single cell level. Open tubular liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis have been scaled down to levels where picoliter and femtoliter volume samples can be separated. This provides the means to profile the chemistry of single whole nerve cells and to sample subcellular regions.Mesh:
