Abstract
Antisense RNA and DNA techniques have been developed as a relatively recent approach to the specific modulation of gene expression in vitro and in vivo. This review discusses general considerations for the application of antisense techniques. We shall examine the relative advantages and disadvantages of DNA versus RNA techniques, as well as the common pitfalls peculiar to each strategy.Mesh:
