Abstract
Calcitonin infusion in pharmacological doses reduces the serum concentration of testosterone, LH and FSH, probably by acting at the hypothalamic level. This fact, in combination with the well-known calcitonin stimulating effect of testosterone, suggests that calcitonin and testosterone are possibly acting as a classic negative feedback system.Entities:
