Abstract
Cardiovascular disease is the prime cause of disability and death in the elderly population. This article provides a brief review of cardiac physiology in this group as well as a discussion of the acute presentation of myocardial ischemia and infarction, congestive heart failure, vascular dysfunction, and complications of valve replacement.Entities:
