Diagnostic workup of sports injuries.

J M Robinson1.

Abstract

Patients injured during sport or fitness activities can make up a significant portion of a family physician's practice. Asking certain questions while taking the history might help diagnose the injury. Components of the physical examination can also be specific to injured athletes. Specific knowledge about the injury allows more effective management.
