Abstract
Hydroxyurea is increasingly being used to control myeloproliferative disorders, in part because of its relative lack of side effects. We present a case of life-threatening alveolitis in a patient treated with hydroxyurea for myeloproliferative syndrome. Absence of exposure to other drugs and the clinical course suggest that the alveolitis was induced by hydroxyurea.Entities:
