Case report 791. Bone abscess, chronic osteomyelitis.

M Bonfiglio1.

Abstract

A 13-year-old girl presented with a 2-year history of chronic pain affecting the leg due to a large lytic distal tibial metaphyseal lesion which upon biopsy proved to be a bone abscess. The case emphasizes the importance of the correlation of clinical radiographic imaging and pathological studies to arrive at the diagnosis and proper treatment.
