Acute glomerulonephritis associated with acute pneumococcal meningitis. A case report.

The frequency of complications in pneumococcal infections has decreased after the extensive use of antibiotics. However, pneumococcal postinfectious acute glomerulonephritis is rarely seen. A case of acute pneumococcal meningitis with acute glomerulonephritis which shows signs of nephritic and nephrotic syndrome is presented in this report.
