Abstract
A retrospective review of 20 rectoceles performed over a four year period (1988-1991) was carried out. The major indication for repair was constipation and outlet obstruction. All patients were objectively quantified by standardized defecography and functional investigations. All patients were repaired via a trans-anal approach using a linear stapler. Sixteen patients were improved with a mean follow-up of 21.8 months.Entities:
