Abstract
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to test the sensitivity of standard bacteriological culture of Helicobacter pylori. The tests were concordant in 97% of cases. PCR did not detect more treatment failures after triple treatment than did the standard culture method. In the present study, culture was as sensitive as PCR for the detection of H. pylori.Entities:
