Abstract
We report a case of xanthogranulomatous abscess of the left psoas muscle in a patient who underwent nephrectomy for xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis four years earlier. Pathogens unlike those usually found in this type of inflammatory reaction were grown on culture. The possible relationship between the two infectious disease processes is analyzed.Entities:
