Out of darkness: mutants reveal pathways controlling light-regulated development in plants.

Abstract

Plant growth and development are governed by complex interactions between environmental signals and endogenous developmental programs. Mutations that disrupt light signal perception or transduction have provided an important resource to begin dissection of the pathways that control light-regulated development in young seedlings.
