Central nervous system complications in coronary artery bypass graft surgery.

J Brillman1.

Abstract

The exact incidence and characteristic of post-CABG encephalopathy needs to be defined further. This condition may effect 150,000 Americans each year. Further study is necessary to define the population at risk and to determine if adjustments in surgical or perfusion techniques can minimize or reverse those factors that lead to neuropsychiatric dysfunction.
