Magnetic resonance imaging of granulomatous inflammations: sarcoidosis and tuberculosis.

J D Wilson1, M Castillo.

Abstract

This article discusses the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings of two of the most common granulomatous disorders affecting the brain--sarcoidosis and tuberculosis. Many of the imaging features are similar for both disorders; and although the diagnosis may be suggested based on radiographic findings, it is ultimately a clinical one.
