Abstract
Transient cataracts in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) are rare and have been reported only in association with severe ketoacidosis or hyperosmolarity. We present an adolescent with transient bilateral posterior subcapsular cataracts, which developed after the recent onset of IDDM without ketoacidosis or severe hyperosmolarity.Entities:
