Abstract
If a patient presents with a history and clinical findings suggestive of an inflammatory process, the sectional imaging examination of choice should be a CT scan. This study will minimize the chances of diagnostic error as described. MR imaging can be done to complement the CT scan in selected cases when additional information from such an MR image will contribute to management. In the final analysis, the radiologist today can give precise anatomic localization of pathology on a scale never before possible. It is the pathologist, however, who still must make the final diagnosis.Entities:
